Kaufman County is currently raising support for its new Children’s Advocacy Center. This effort will greatly benefit the community and the agencies that serve it. But most importantly it will exist as an advocate for child victims and their families.

HOW DOES KCCAC HELP?
Without the coordinated efforts of a child advocacy center, counties in Texas only see a 30% to 40% rate of conviction for child abuse/sexual assault cases.
Counties with a child advocacy center see an increase in convictions of up to 70% to 80%.
The advocacy center provides a child-friendly enviroment where trained workers can properly interview a child and the family, providing valuable information to a combined team of investigators, prosecutors, and counselors, thus insuring a better investigation with better results.
